CERAMIC FIBRES

High-temperature wool made from aluminium silicate fibres (RCF/ASW) is used as a component in refractory lining for temperatures above 1000°C.

Products made from aluminium silicate fibres exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance and low thermal conductivity, and are particularly easy to handle due to their low weight. Moreover, aluminium silicate fibres are resistant to most acids, with the exception of hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and alkalis.
